Artistic Director

Kevin P. Kern

is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at The University of West Florida, where he was awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award in 2008. A member of Actor’s Equity Association and the Screen Actor’s Guild, his professional credits include Film, TV Commercials, and Live Theatre. Before moving to Pensacola he was the Associate Artistic Director for The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company in Los Angeles.

Bill Whalen – Chairman of the Board (Interim)

Is a construction contractor and property developer, specializing in historic property renovations. He has acted, directed, and taught in Pensacola’s community theatre since 2005. In addition to appearing in local and regional TV commercials, He and Debi Deunkerly founded The Lab Rats, teaching kids 11 to 17 years the art of improvisation.

Charles Houghton – Vice Chairman of the Board

Charles has been the Chairman of the UWF Department of Theatre since 2005. Charles holds a MFA in Theatre from Temple University and a BA from San Diego State University, and has designed extensively for theatre, musical theatre, opera, modern dance and ballet, including local productions for UWF, and the Pensacola Opera. Before moving to Pensacola, Charles was Head of Design, and Assistant Dean at The University of Northern Colorado. Charles lives in Pace with his wife and two children.

Natalie Sander Kern – Secretary.

Natalie currently teaches 4th Grade at McArthur Elementary School. Having received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Acting from Chapman University, Natalie’s professional Theatre credits include work with LA’s premiere avant-garde Theatre company: Son of Semele Ensemble. She and her husband Kevin live in Pensacola with their two boys, Aidan and Sander.

Rebecca Hamilton Taylor

Rebecca Hamilton Taylor is Co-Owner and Agency Director of IZON Models and Talent in Pensacola, Florida. IZON is a full-service agency representing models and actors throughout the Gulf Coast. Rebecca credits her love for the theatre to a high school teacher whose enthusiasm for the great playwrights was infectious and led to literature studies in college along with her communications degree. This love for great literature and performance eventually transcended into Rebecca’s current role in the industry as agent/manager where she has the privilege to help young actors with the same passion pursue their dreams. Rebecca lives in Gulf Breeze with her husband and two children.

Carol Kahn Parker

Carol Kahn Parker is a native Pensacolian involved in the performing arts locally since 1993. She has served on the Board of Trustees and the Artistic Committee of the Pensacola Little Theatre. She has performed at PLT, UWF, PJC, The Imogene Theatre in Milton and for Stage Crafters in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
