Amber Bonasso joins Pensacola Shakespeare this summer

Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre is pleased to announce the addition of Los Angeles actress Amber Bonasso as the fiery Kate in this summer’s production of Taming Of The Shrew.

Amber comes to us with an extensive resume including performances in Henry IV at North Coast Repertory, 12th Night with L.A. Shakespeare, Comedy of Errors with The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, and Taming of the Shrew at the Long Beach Playhouse.

“A TRIUMPH!”




On Saturday March 3, Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre joined The Pensacola Symphony to combine Mendelssohn with Shakespeare in a unique production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Pensacola’s Saenger Theatre.

The cast included Los Angeles-based actors Michael Nehring, Brett Elliott, and Jane Longenecker-Elliot , alongside local actors including Natalie Sander-Kern and Sam Osheroff.  The production was directed by Kevin P. Kern; the symphony was lead by Peter Rubardt.

Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre onstage at The Saenger

Los Angeles-based actors Michael Nehring, Jane Longenecker-Elliott, and Brett Elliott will join Artistic Director Kevin P. Kern as he directs the stage version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream alongside the Pensacola Symphony on March 3.

Tickets are available on the Pensacola Symphony website.

 

 

 

Michael Nehring is a principal performer with Shakespeare Orange County, having played roles as diverse as Prospero and Bottom.

Jane has appear with The Colony Theatre, the Kingsmen Shakespeare Theatre, and Shakespeare Festival L.A. as well as in numerous Films and TV shows including the Sci Fi Channel’s Dinocroc and JAG.

Brett has appeared for several seasons with The Kingsmen Shakespeare Theatre, for whom he serves as The Associate Artistic Director.

AUDITIONS – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre announces auditions on Tuesday January 24, 5-6:30pm at the UWF C.F.P.A. for A Midsummer Night’s Dream in collaboration with the Pensacola Symphony. This one-night-only event will be held at The Saenger Theatre on Saturday March 3rd. Rehearsals begin Thursday March 1. THERE IS PAY.

A Midsummer To Remember!

Don’t miss this special evening as Mendelssohn meets Shakespeare on stage at The Saenger Theatre.

Pensacola Shakespeare Theatre will be providing scenes from William Shakespeare’s  A Midsummer Night’s Dream as The Pensacola Symphony plays Felix Mendelssohn’s music written for the most loved of all his comedies.  The one night only show plays on March 3, 2012.

Geraint Wyn Davies and Claire Lautier at Pensacola Shakespeare

Performing a reading of Charles Dennis’ hilarious play about the lives of the understudies, GOING ON, Geraint and Claire were simple sensational. Thanks to all who attended and made this a great evening of Theatre!
