Kevin’s professional directing credits include the musicals Cabaret, Crazy For You, Bye Bye Birdie, Baby, and Oliver for Theatres in California, Washington, and Maine; the original works The MAINE-iac, It’s Top Secret, and Isabella Met A Fella (for which he wrote the book and co-wrote the music); and As You Like It for the Kingsmen Shakespeare Theatre for whom he will direct Comedy Of Errors in the summer of 2010. Kevin also co-created the Shakespeare Educational Tour for Kingsmen Shakespeare, a program that put actor/teachers inside classrooms to lead Shakespeare-themed workshops for elementary school students. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Theatre at UWF, where his directing credits include Once On This Island, Guys And Dolls, The Crucible, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Christmas Carol (for which he wrote the adaptation), and He Calls me By The Thunder, which chronicled the 1963 bombings in Birmingham, AL. Kevin recently published an article inSouthern Theatre magazine titled Schooled At Holman; What The Prisoners Taught Me About Shakespeare, detailing his work teaching Shakespeare to inmates of Holman State Penitentary.
